Chandigarh (Nishan Singh), July 1, (Price hiking of petrol and diesel). Chandigarh, Aam Aadmi Party today protested across the country over the rising prices of petrol and diesel. Party workers lodged their protest against the hike in petrol diesel prices by dragging Ghoragadi in Chandigarh city.

Aam Aadmi Party supporters said that the BJP government, which was supported by the people against the dearness and corruption of the Congress, today the BJP government is moving ahead on the footsteps of the Congress.

Chandigarh AAP convener Prem Garg, who is leading the protests in Chandigarh. Said that the common man had already  shattered due to the Corona epidemic. Employment is over. Traders are running in losses. The way the government is increasing the prices of petrol and diesel from above, the common man, farmers and traders are facing a huge burden on everyone.

For the last twenty days, the prices of petrol and diesel are being increased continuously every day. Diesel petrol has also been made expensive, it will only have a high impact on the common man. Diesel is the need of every human being today, be it a farmer or a factory worker.

On one hand, the government is talking about giving relief to the general public by giving free grain, on the other hand, by increasing the prices of petrol diesel, the government is snatching it back from the same common man.

Despite the basis of fixing the prices of petrol diesel according to the market price, the BJP government is cheating people. When the prices of petrol and diesel had to reduced, then they raise it by increasing the excise duty and when the prices start increasing, they start ignoring the voices of common people.

AAP Chandigarh has demanded that the price of petrol and diesel has to released according to a fixed formula. It would have kept prices of petrol and diesel under the purview of GST.
